Question: Why can't breed Elephant Snail

Hi,
I know that all shopborn creatures can be breed (except donis) - but why can't elephant snail breed?
Is this a mistake or is this wanted?
Anybody knows?

Oh - ok thank you - I didn't read the discription before, because english is not my native language.

They can't be breed - because they would die if they lay an egg.

Actually, they are not allowed to breed. This is because they breed well when they do, but elephant snails eat a LOT. If a group of elephant snails became large in number, they would eat so much the land would die because all the foliage (trees, grasses, flowers, and so forth) would be gone, so plant eating animals would die, and the meat eating animals that eat the plant eaters would die.
