Those 99.99% Creatures

Post by Zen »

You see quite a few of 99.99% eggs being sold, frozen. But wouldn't you think the percentage of something like 35.95% would be just as rare? It's not that easy getting pretty much any percentage exactly.

Those 100% or 99% eggs are considered cool because their percent bar looks full.
Same goes with 100%-99% or 0% frozen hatchies, their percent bar looks either full or completely empty :)

I think this is one of the reasons ^^

Rare, yes. But it's not just about rarity but demand. Some people like to collect 99.99% creatures. 100% are the most highly sought and will give you the biggest pay out.

I think a 100% frozen egg or hatchling or a 0% frozen hatchling would be "cool" and sold for a lot, though.

But if I made a thread saying "I'm giving these Crystalwings to the first person that gets a 43.68% frozen egg", it wouldn't be easy. It would be the same difficulty of getting a 99.99% one.

Yeah, but it's just not a very special number.

I have a hatchling frozen at 13.37% and that was pure luck.

13.37? It's nothing different than 45.34%

But you would also have a lot of trouble selling them. Why would someone want a creature at such a random percent? If you're going to freeze creatures for profit, keep to the really high and really low. It's about what's in demand in the market, not specifically what's rare.

There's nothing wrong with the demand. High and low percentages make sense, but a random one like you're talking about doesn't. It has to do with what the growth bar looks like.

This is the problem people have trying to sell things in the MD. If you want to sell things then you have to sell things that people want. Yeah, you could sell a frozen egg at some weird percentage, but you would get very little. It doesn't matter what you think should be popular and you are not likely to change how majority of buyers feel. You can't control the MD, you can only work with it or stay out of it.
