Image-free Mines/keeps

There's a trend of Image free mines/keeps lately. This trend simply is that people are taking all the pets they don't have frozen and don't mind others clicking, then posting a series of links to those pets in their keeps!

I honestly love this trend. You don't have to wait for a gazillion pets to load (which can take awhile even on my fast internet), clicking pets by the hundreds is faster than being stuck scrolling down for half an hour, and nobody has to worry about their "don't click me!" pets being clicked.

In fact, I love this trend so much I've even started an image-free keep of my own as well as a list of others with image-free keeps! (And yes, I have the list in grabbable code-form so you can use it, too!)

Do you have an image-free keep? If so, can I add you to my list so others can come visit you more easily?

What do you think of this trend?

Yeah, I did that awhile back when I saw someone had one and it sort of grew. XD

A ton of people PM'd me asking how I did it. I don't have my whole Keep, but I have 500+ levis in an image-free mine on my profile. I took it off once and ....got a lot of PM's again XDD LOL So I put it back up. ;3

They're awesome I have dial-up and I love it when I can mine without my internet trying to kill me.

Ok, seriously, why have I not encountered this idea before? Now I want to do this. It is a seriously freaking good idea. Would give me more incentive to mine my own keep more often. Though I would have to make sure to update it as I often have shop stock and am always getting new pets

Okay, once I get my PC back, complete with a Snaplinks-compatible brower, I am going to love this list. I've always wanted to keep-mine, but I don't have the patience or the good enough computer to.

*nod nod nod* I agree :3 Like, is there a quick way to do this or is it simply going through all your creature codes and just replacing all the image codes with the symbol of your choice?

I'm afraid that's what I did. Just took all the codes and changed images for X's, one at a time. Now I just keep adding more on as I add them to my Keep, so after that first bulk of codes, it's not any bother. I have quite a few frozen eggs and hatchlings in my Keep, but none in my image-free mine.

It's simpler than seems.

The code of a pet is like that:
[img]pet's-image[/img]

So it's just replace the [img]url-of-the-pet's-image[/img] for a letter, numbers or what that you want to put it.

But do it takes a lot of time xD

If you're just using an x, you don't need the img code at all, just the x
