When the Stream was new, when no eggs flowed in the crystal clear water, creatures of all kinds flocked to it. Dragons, their majestic heads and wings sparkling like the water itself. Griffons, their royal and beautiful heads bending low to drink. And even the elusive unicorn came to its waters. Finally there came the dark creatures. They drove the others to lay their eggs near the water. The eggs all fell in.
Then, when almost all hope was lost, a few creatures found the strength they needed. They found a way to evolve the eggs, to make them suitable for the water. And when all was finally won, peace between all. But the war had only begun.
All the creatures moved to separate lands. The dragons took the mountains, where this is set. One pair of the dragons, a mating pair, found a pool that met the stream. They laid their eggs in it, showing the others this same pool. But ebony dragons tried to destroy it. They wanted the stream and not some pool off it.
The white dragons fought back and a slaughter ensued. The children of the white dragons finally hatched and fought the dark dragons, beating them into submission. Since then no war has come between them. Peace has followed and now the ebony dragons lay their eggs in the pool that runs to the stream.
I didn't expect it to come out as well as this.

Re: The Legend
Hmm lots about the dragons, that you actually can't get from the stream.

Hey, now -- don't rule out the future of stream born dragons! :Dnightbug08 wrote:Hmm lots about the dragons, that you actually can't get from the stream. :omg:

Re: The Legend
Well, that's true. But really I don't mind if it's not entirely true. The eggs were hatched and laid in a pool in the mountains so it's still possible.
(Yeah I critizise (?) myself harder then this usually.)

And this is a competition entry so I may need to title edited to say that. If no one minds that is.
