Pegasi and Unicorns

A long time ago in a Pleasant place by a Lake a group of horses grazed peacfully.A strong wind started blowing-it turned into a terrible storm. The horses ran,fear shot in their eyes.They stampeded across the land.Rearing and kicking.The storm drown their loud cries. Rain peirced their eyes and winds whipped them.Fear spread. The horses black and white coats raced like lightening across the plains.They finally found shelter in a large cave. The next morning the storm passed. The horses came out and saw their home ruined. Everything was flooded. The horses looked around in sadness at their once beutiful home. They looked up at the cliff-top that sheltered the cave. They began to climb up a narrow path,stumbling over rocks. One after another in a line. They got to the top and walked on mile after mile looking for a new home.The dirt and rock began to turn green and grow grass.The horses ate and walked on in search of water.They came upon a stream and they jumped in,splashing and playing.They drank happily. The stream though seemingly normal possessed magical powers. The stream was the key to the spirit world. As the horses drank they began to grow strange features. Those whom had jumped in the stream before drinking grew feathered wings from their back.Those whom drank before playing and splashing grew horns of bone from their foreheads.They were called Pegasus and Unicorns from now on rather than horses. The Magi who lived at the MagiStream came out and began to befriend the gentle beasts.They were able to ride them and raise them.And now they live in peace with the Magi. The mother Unicorn and Pegasi will lay their eggs in the stream and the Magi will pick them up and hatch and raise them as their own to ride and play. The Unicorns are prefered for battle for their magical powers and sharp deadly horns.The Pegasi are prefered for sending messages and traveling for their speed of flying.
