If anyone figures out Chrome and Opera, please post here too, or leave a comment on the script itself .
Scripts closign windows by themselves is normally somethign that is NOT nice, so it makes sense to block it... but if you are nice to your user, you allow him to take the risk and switch it off for at least a while ;).

I figured out why it doesn't work in Opera...very simple, actually. Since the script is designed to work in conjunction with GreaseMonkey or something similar, the browser will work with the script & GM to figure out what to close based on the URL.
Opera doesn't have GM (or, I haven't found it) so with the current code in the script, it just closes windows regardless because the script doesn't read the URL at all - it just runs the script as is. Unfortunately, I don't know anything about javascript to code it specifically to work for Opera's native JS interface.
EDIT:
I think the inclusion part of the script has to be hardcoded into the script itself since there's no GreaseMonkey (or equivalient) to handle that part.

Huh. Did you do any tweaks or have something similar to GreaseMonkey installed?
No, you can run (some) GreaseMonkey scripts directly in Opera. I saved the file "83367.user.js" (right-click on "Install", Save Link as) in a folder.
Then in Opera: Tools -> Preferences -> Advanced-> Content -> JavaScript Options -> User JavaScript folder -> Choose and select the folder with the script.
Restart the browser and don't forget to keep JavaScript enabled when you're mining

Ohhh. I copypasta'd the code and shoved it into a new file that I saved as a js and then uh...renamed it. *tries your fix*
I just opened up firefox, installed that greasemonkey thing, and then installed that auto close thing, it doesn't work for me. Of course I have no clue what to do or how to "allow" it. I don't know what version of firefox I have.
I wish there was something like this for chrome because firefox is slower than a crippled slug x_x it took 2 minutes to open 4 tabs. :tard:
@Gingy; Ok, well to help you out a bit, you first need to go to the URL bar and type in "about:config"
It should give you a warning, disregard this. Click next or whatever, and then type in "dom.allow_scripts_to_close_windows" (without the "" marks) and then where it says 'False' double click so it says 'True' and the text should turn to Bold.

I believe WinterRaven also posted a fix for Chrome. Here's her quoted post:

It automatically closes opened Creatue-pages (useful for mining).
For firefox, you have to ALLOW this first, how to do this is explained in the description of the script. I ddonÄt know about other browsers.
Publishing this with MorgaIns ok:
This can be installed in chrome. All you have to do is install greasemetal which is a chrome version of greasemonkey. C: http://www.techzilo.com/install-greasem ... le-chrome/ Here's the page about it that links to the download link ^-^
Thank you now it will take 20 minutes for tabs to load...maybe then it will close If i upgrade to the newest faster version of firefox will it work any better? I think I have 3.5 or something I went to check.
Chrome loads like 200 tabs in 15 seconds, it would take my firefox 15 years to do that :sadtard:
Edited to add: I have now added it to chrome and it works like a charm in the click threads!
Offsite gold mine however, not so much. It doesn't close them at all.
