Do you have a method for naming your creatures?

I don't name my creatures.

Differently. My main creatures have fantasy names I made up (mostly), my Donation Pets are partly named after D&D Gods and Goddesses; My Starchildren, of course, are named after stars and constellations. Then there are my Nordic creatures (such as Loki and his children) and my "personal influences", named to honour my role models concerning art and literature.
And my hellhounds have latin proverbs as names. xD

[Edit] Oh, and there are, you know, the character names of books/video games I adore... xD
