(A bit late, but I have to agree with what TalisRaye said. I saw that post and I'm still upset even though it had nothing to do with me. It's not something to be discussed for any reason.)

In my opinion, I think there are enough mods. I think at most they should hire one or two more for complaints and help.

Quite the contrary, IMHO the site needs a lot more Mods to do the job needed to keep order around here! Think about it: Just the MD could keep several Mods buried up to their ears in work. MS is certainly large enough to need forum leads (Mods who have Mod powers over only a specific forum or forums, also called a "Board Mod") as well as in the GM (Global Mod or Board Mod in phpBB).

Of course, we have no say in the matter as to how many Mods there are or how they are chosen or deployed, so all of this is "speculation". And isn't "speculation" frowned upon here as a waste of time?

Well, seeing as the DAN is not exactly being patrolled on the schedule published in the DAN from what I can see, I suspect that the referral to Wolf as "Moderator in Charge" has been a pro-forma one for some time. In simple English? No Mod is the only one to actually patrol the DAN; Wolf's absence may well be no problem at all as far as the DAN is concerned.

And just as well if I am correct: Global Mods are assigned to patrol the whole board. Leaving the load in the hands of only one Mod does not insure coverage, so needed in the DAN, since no one person can be "on" 24/7/365.

I am glad that this step was taken.
What she did was not only uncalled for, it was unnecessary and rude. A normal user should never do such a thing and face certain consequences. But as a moderator, a person a normal user looks up and to and approaches for help something like this should never occur. It is a no-go and I don't know what hit her to let this happen. When it comes to me as a person - she has lost my respect completely and I am glad that she had to face consequences.
