So after the bookstore tells me the book I need won't be in until next week, and my mom goes and orders one for me off amazon, I get a call from the bookstore that they have a book for me and will hold it until tuesday. Of course I don't think to tell them that I no longer need it, so now I get to feel guilty that I won't be going in to get the book that they are holding for me, and might be keeping someone else from getting it that needs it. Stupid guilt trips just never end with me.

They're like everyone else. Some are good friends. Some are horrible people. Not all gay men love fashion and Lady Gaga. Some of them aren't effeminate at all.

I love the science teachers at my school, they're awesome. But one of them had a tank of fish from the previous teacher in that room; and he didn't really want them so he never really bothered with them. Goldfish are hardy fish though, so there are still three left. Because my homeroom class is in the other science room and we had this empty fish tank just lying around not doin' anything, we decided to "rescue Mark's fish" (we call our teachers by their first names at my school). Okay, that's all dandy. Logically, because I cared, I helped orchestrate this. We set up our tank; got the water all nutrifying and denitrited and got the filter running for three days before today, when we transplanted this fish.

And me, convinced that we should emulate my old fish tank, decided we also should transplant the bubbler (water oxygenator thingy?) from Mark's tank. Since I was the only person insistent on this, I was the one that got to do it.

So I reached my hand into fish water that has killed three fish and not been cleaned or dealt with at any point in the last. two. years. Up to my elbow. NASTIEST. THING. EVER. It was slimy, murky, disgusting, it smelled horrendous and faintly coated my arm in algae. I'm not normally the kind of girl that FLIPS OUT at disgusting things but really, EW. Deadfishwater. Naaaaasty.

Tee hee, I know how you feel. Try cleaning out a one gallon tank that's plastic with an undergravel filter. THE ALGAE DOES NOT COME OFF THE SIDES. Or even fishing a dead crab out of warmish water. Not only is it creepy, it smells bad.

Nooo! Why don't I learn why spoilers are there? I was looking in an old thread about a book I'm currently reading and I mindlessly opened a spoiler. It gave away the fact that my favorite character dies!

That said today's Thursday, and my last day of horse camp is tomorrow.
Then in another week I'll have to go to school, my first year of high school. Nervous is an understatement.
