I'm adding to this as something that's also good to use. Psyllium seed husk. It's actually a good laxative, if done right. I used it on my cat, my horses, and myself.

We will go in to get X-rays for Penny this week, so hopefully by next week we will have a better idea of next steps for this poor pup. Maybe an oncology appointment soon too.

She seems pretty healthy and happy so far, so I am really hoping that we get more time with her before things go south. I was really crushed over the weekend, but having next steps and a snuggly dog really helps. It’s been so hard to concentrate on work.

Our other dog is doing great, so that’s good. Her knee surgery seems to have taken and she is starting to bear weight on her hurt leg more consistently.

I opened up the vacuum to change the filter and oh GOD there was so much fucking dust in it. My allergies weep just at the sight of it. Had to do it outside and w/ my mask on (on top of protecting me from getting sick, they're real great against allergies)

I found that my mask helped this summer for dog walks, because it did a little bit of filtering of stuff in the air I am allergic to. It was nice to have!

I caved in and purchased an air purifier for Prime Day. We had an old one that made a world of difference when our air quality went bonkers last month because of the fires. So I will soon have one for my home office.

I was writing on a oneshot for a fanfiction halloween event, my computer turned off, the doc pulled back up as a recovered, I didn't think about it because I thought I'd already saved it, and nope. now I'm trying to rewrite it and I hate it so much.

I don't think I'm going to be done in time.

That's why I like using Notepad++ to write in - it caches whatever you're working on which is not quite the same as autosave, and I've never lost more than a paragraph or two to a power outage

Notepad has never seemed to have the features and look I want while typing. Unless it's something else than what I'm thinking of. Like formatting.

I mean, it did cache. I was just a dumbass and didn't save it. I don't know i like the story anyway, but I definitely don't like how the rewrite is turning out, even if I remember enough of it to have it almost word for word. It just isn't the same, you know? Which might just be annoyance talking.

Oh noooo. That's the worst. I had my writing program straight up crash on me once and I had not yet turned on autosaving (i didn't realize it wasn't auto on like MS Word) and lost the whole thing.

This is one plus that Google docs has, it auto saves any open document so no risk of losing (if you have a hotmail/outlook email account you can access an online version of MS word that acts like their version google docs)

Well, had a laptop, my kid broke it, totally sucks. Now I gotta wait to get a new one. -.- why does bad things always happen to me? I guess if I didn't have bad luck ibwould have no luck at all.

Company VPN is super flakey today and that's not good when running phones via voip. I've seen several reports of dropped calls. Hopefully it stabilizes soon.

The house has been so quiet since middle son went back to traditional (instead of virtual) school yesterday. I still worry if we made the right decision, but the quiet is certainly helping soothe my battered spirit. Maybe my total exhaustion will begin to ease as well.
