Re: New Creature # 1120 - Alvean Lossus
There does appear to be a gender difference in the hatchies- the male has an extra... I think it is a finger? On the front right paw (the right of the creature, not from the viewer's Point of View).
Nonono, that's just the back foot of the other one, I messed up!

Naw there's no dimorphism in the hatchlings.
When in doubt, look at the magistatic url (the url for the base images, what you get when you right click and get 'copy image address/location') for both. If there's dimorphism the urls for the male and female sprites will be different. in this case they're the same.

Thanks!!! I didn't know that. Now I'll know for the next time I get to make the 'new critter' post.BBkat wrote:Naw there's no dimorphism in the hatchlings.

I'm a big fan of how inexpensive they are. They keep gendering incorrectly for my collection and I have no qualms about buying another egg to try again. Helps when I'm trying to save gender potions.
Spoiler
Also, the hatchlings are me; chubby, pink, small, and just wanna lay around naked. It's a whole mood, lmao!
