That really sucks about the box set.

I'm glad you posted that here though because I almost bought that. I loved Hellsing when I was younger and watched the OVA online for a while. Maybe I'll wait and see if they eventually put everything together. =/

I've never had this problem before.I mean,I= I have the entire season of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and never ran into that issue once. Each box was a set of episodes, so obviously I had to buy them all to get the whole season. Nor were they nearly this expensive. And they're both put out by the same people too, Funimation.

I don't even see that as an option on Amazon. it just has the individual sets (1-4, 5-8, 9-10) as their own for sale.

That's what i found out too when I checked on Amazon, they only have them in bits right now.

If they only just released the last episode dubbed it might take a year before they collect all 10 episodes into a single set.

Yeah, the 'boxed set' is basically just episode 5-8, with a slot for 1-4, which you have to buy separately. It's a bloody rip off, it's better and cheaper to just buy 1-4 and 5-8 on their own. As my dad put it,t hat's an expensive cardboard box.
We did go back, and you can't swap the empty box, you literally have to buy the other set. Amazon has the individual sets(minus the box that holds both) for a lot cheaper.
Cause on Amazon,1-4(DVD/Blu ray combo) is 41$
5-8(same thing) is 56$
9+10 is 32$
That comes to a total of 129$(roughly, tax would make it a bit more). Amazon gives you the option to 'add all three' for 131$.

The one I bought, the 'boxed set'(which is apparently, limited edition, is 144$. And that does not cover the cost of the 1-4 that you need to buy, nope. You still have to purchase that on its own. It's a rip off.

So I got a cash refund for the one I bought and my dad went and ordered 1-4 and 5-8 off Amazon instead.
Fuck you Funimation.

Ick, that's awful. I've always bought my anime on Amazon first. Funimation is a bunch of scamming bloops. Just be mindful on Amazon if you see anyone selling used or anything like that. You can get scammed there too, trust me.

We don't generally buy used. The only time I bought used was on a book, and that's because I don't think new copies exist anymore. And it was in decent enough condition(clearly well read, but not to the point of, you know, falling apart or anything).
