*Knock Knock Knock*...

"Knockity knock knock, I'm coming in," said the officer nervously, pushing open the door of the house where the murder happened. He took a few steps inside. "Hello?" Silence.
Officer Jones had been told of mysterious noises coming from this house, but he hadn't expected no noises at all when he arrived. His footsteps sounded unnaturally loud on the old wooden floor. Then he heard a steady drip coming from the back room. Taking a deep breath, he opened the door to the kitchen and flicked the light switch. Nothing.
"Is there anybody... in here?" He felt for a torch - anything to light the room up. It was unnatural, pacing around a room like this. The Officer narrowly avoided walking into a chair. Yeesh. Bad placement much? And still, he heard the drip... drip... drip.
The floor in one spot was slippery. That would have been where the water was dripping.
Only it wasn't water.
"AAARGH!" screamed Officer Jones, jumping out of the pool of blood on the kitchen floor. He jumped right into the knife edge.
