Moonlight Hamsters were discovered long ago, when a man by the name of Joshua Harlem pointed his telescope at the moon and a certain streak of the waxing moonlight caught his eye. He saw a streak of the purest white light heading towards his very home. As the streak of light neared, Joshua saw that it was a miniature, glowing, white planetoid filled with what seemed like... little hamsters. There were thousands, all of them looking not even similar to the other. They seemed unaffected at what seemed at the time a sure death. But they didn't die, no, they survived the crash and were dubbed by young Joshua as Moonlight Hamsters, the little creatures who came from a streak of moonlight...

There are many breeds of this particular species, but only one has been found to look so oddly... normal. They are referred to as 'common' by most people, which is so utterly true. The common species, though, has powers. Powers of the light, only. The powers are totally random and cannot be chosen by the owner....

Radioactive Moonlight

This type of Moonlight is slightly less common, as it is a common whose particular section of planetoid has been dropped in radioactive liquids, making it glow with a greenish hue. They have mostly destructive powers which can result in disaster if the wielder of these powers has not been trained correctly...

Griffin Moonlight

Griffin Moonlights were found after a breeding experiment using an Angel Moonlight Hamster and an owl. They are mysterious guardians of the mountains, a mystical sight for those who see them.

Angel Moonlight

Angel Moonlights are very rare, as they can only be found up high in the clouds where they love to play. They are found sparsely and are never seen twice in the same place, as they know they are being watched. They control the level of hope in the world, sliding the scales of happiness until it is in perfect balance with dread and death.

My friends, we are now introducing.... Moonlings! These little cuties are baby Moonlights! They work a bit more differently than most baby adoptables would.... You need to have one male and one female Moonlight that is NOT still a Moonling. If you only have one gender, ask someone if you want to breed your Moonlight and one of their Moonlights. You post the images of BOTH hamsters on the form... and someone on the staff will combine both of their appearances into a baby! They might have, say, their mother's radioactive haze, or their father's streaks of gray. There is a small chance that your Moonling will turn out as an EXACT copy of one parent. You might end up with more than one Moonling, as litters usually turn up with around 1-4 babies. There is also going to be an orphanage for unwanted Moonlings, just in case. Moonlings will grow to be the normal size 1-3 days after being born.
Here's an explanation of the aging process and powers I posted the day we got Moonlings:

The Moonlings develop their powers once they are adults. They usually inherit their powers from parents. And CWIGGLE, the chart of how they grow is this:
Common: 1 day until adult
Uncommon: 2 days until adult
Rare: 3 days until adult
Basically, they take longer to grow the rarer they are. So, for example, if you got a common Moonling today, tomorrow it would be an adult
