i learned to read pretty early, so i was able to read the game text, (pokemon probably made me learn to read xD) but yea, back inr uby, you had to figure everything out on your own based on what happened last, or what someone said, but they enver said "go here, or here"

Or heck, why does BW2 give you two master balls and 8 PP Maxes?

Well you can win Master balls in the lottery, but that never happens. And I understand why Pokemon's trying to lure in younger kids, cause it's not like the older fanbase is growing unless they were fans of the series when they were younger. They do throw older fans a bone now and then though. Like the PWT.

Welcome to child/family friendly-oriented Nintendo, catering to the generally younger audience for the 3DS market.
Gotta remember that Pokemon is designed to be 'accessible to everyone' and all that jazz. xD

nintendo's attempting to shake of that reputation with the wii U, they even have a beyonetta sequel as a wii U exclusive! nintendo's really trying to make me spend money
i guess it does make sense, business wise, to try and expand the fanbase to include the younger generation.

Not necessarily. There has been Disney ports going to the Wii U, Ben 10, Skylanders... Things like that, but I agree with you that Wii U is marketed to slightly older audiences with CoD, some basketball/soccer/car games and stuff coming up and stuff. c: I am looking forward to see how Bayonetta will look like on that console, though!shunn6653 wrote:nintendo's attempting to shake of that reputation with the wii U, they even have a beyonetta sequel as a wii U exclusive! nintendo's really trying to make me spend money

It's a bit too early to say, since the console hasn't been announced for very long... But I'll still stick to my PS3/V for more game entertainment out of the 3DS.
