Raffles -- Need a little input...

So I've just started a 50/50 raffle in the merchant district. No I'm not advertising it. I'm just wanting to know a little of what you all think.

In a 50/50 raffle, the more tickets boughts, the higher the pot will be. Half of the gold gotten for the ticket sales goes to the winner, the other half goes to whomever the raffle holder wishes. So if 50k worth of tickets are sold, then the winner would get 25k.

But I like to have a starting amount and work up to it. So what I want to know is, what is a good starting amount to get people interested in entering the raffle?

In my lotteries (In June and July) I gave a start out of 10k, tickets cost 1.2k each, and 1k went to the jackpot.

I didn't get as much, but the lottery was 150k and somebody was very happy.
