My egg cap is 7 w/2 Doni

I bought 2 Doni eggs, and I have 5 stream eggs. I cannot get up to the 9 stated in the News post. How can I fix this?
I get this message when I try to get another stream egg:


And I just realized I am wrong. I bought the Celebration eggs thinking they were the Doni pets, but I guess they do not count right now.

Okay I think I understand the problem (sorry if I misinterpreted!)

So the 2 extra slots only count after you have 6 eggs. So in other words you would have had (for example) to have caught 6 stream eggs before buying the donis, then you would have been able to purchase two donis to fill your additional bonus slots.

If you buy the shard critters before filling your normal slots, they just count as normal creatures and you can't use your bonus slots.

Its annoying, but that's how its been for as long as I can remember. Does this make sense what I'm saying?

I never knew that, I have never donated before. Do the celebration shop critters count as Doni eggs since you have to use shards to buy them?

Ya its something you have to learn the hard way, I think everyone makes that mistake their first time donating

As it is with the egg slot increase, you should be able to grab SEVEN regular eggs, plus the two donis.
So the Celebration Shop creatures *should* count as donis.
