Entry #4: Etain Desert

At first, the far off canyons seem pointless to hike to when the surrounding desert is filled with scrubby, tough looking plants and gravelly sand. But as you walk down a winding trail wrapping through the sage and boulders, clouds begin to form on the horizon above the red peaks that promise rain: the bringing of life.

To be honest even with the binocules in the photo I think it is a nicer photo as you can see the mountains in the distance.

I would agree - have you considered cropping vertically instead of horizontally? You'd lose the rock, but it's not adding as much to the flavor as the extended mountain range would
