Morning Over the Great Tagg (Staff Entry)

The lands of Taggelisk are wrought with change, from the swampy wet season to the arid dry season. However, through all days of the year, the Great Tagg flows fast and strong, providing a small haven for those plants and animals unable to cope with the harshness of the dry season. Come winter and spring, the river begins to swell, flooding the land by way of many small streams overflowing their levies. In the morning, mist rises over the great river, and its waters can be seen through gaps in the trees.

I worked at a forest research center last summer, and they had an overlook we visited sometimes.

I've rafted on the Meramec, but never seen it quite like this before! Great picture.
