Has anyone seen the awesomeness that is the Secret of Kells?

Who are your favorite charecters? Mine are Pangur Ban, Aisling, and Brendan in that order. Whenever I watch the movie and I see Aisling I just laugh and cry a bit since she is so adorable!

I just saw it a few days ago. Such a great movie! The animation is just so beautiful!

Did you know that the Book of Kells in the movie is an actual book and the images they showed of the book are what is actually drawn inside of it? And the Abbey of Kells where the book was housed for a long time is real as well.
I've seen pictures and the illuminations (the drawings and stylized text) are absolutely beautiful and there are so many tiny details. We learned a little about it in Art History last year (but not a lot). I wish I could see the real book (but that would require travelling over seas, and I don't have that sort of money.

It looks really good plus I am a huge fan of anime I will have to check it out. Is it as good as Princess Mononoke?
