Official Creature Suggestion Thread

Holly dragon.
It could be dark green, with a holly leaf-like spine/head/tail crest (all sharp and spikey), very thin and athletic-looking like a greyhound, holly berry red eyes and inside of mouth, tight-knit and lightweight actual holly branches for wings (mostly large leaves) and is very kind despite its sharp exterior.

A oriole based bird? Or maybe some kind of animal that has shamrocks or clovers (I kind of been in a St. Pats mood since imaging a dragon on another site). Maybe garden based animals. There is many ideas but I still can't comprehend most of the ones I seen so far. But another kirin or Thylacine would do, I love those two and I felt sad that I was on too late to get either of those.

A mango creature or kind of Newt would be good as well.

I would like to suggest this Idea. It may not be the best idea, but it came to me. So, please listen to me.
Alive Decessus(Or just Rat). Decessuses(Or Decessi, whatever) would have a 50% percent chance of hatching as a normal rat. No rotting flesh, no bones showing, nothing. It would grow as a normal creature would.
However (This is gonna be a tad bit complicated...), there would be a Quest in the Keep saying Sacrifice. That Quest would be renewable, and may be able to do it an infinite number of times. That would require you to give a alive decessus to a man, and he would kill it, giving you the current decessus.

Descriptions.

Egg.

A long pink tail emerges from this egg. (Same as the current one, since the differences show when they hatch.)

Hatchling.

The moment you plucked this egg from the stream, you began to worry. It's like no other egg you have ever found, oddly soft, and you can't hear any noises coming from within. However, your worries are soon comforted as the egg gently rocks to and fro in your pocket. As you take out the egg from your pocket, you notice that a plump tail has emerged from a crack, and swishes ever so slightly in the breeze. The rocking of the egg gets stronger with every rock, and the egg finally drops to the ground, narrowly escaping your fingers. You worry that the creature inside the egg might die and gently put aside the fragments. A rat emerges from the fragments of the now broken egg, and watches you as you pick him up. The rat soon recognizes you as its owner, and cuddles against your palm. It soon falls asleep, warming your hand, and you think that it was a very nice choice to get this creature.

Adult.

There are tales the villagers tell, of terrible, strange creatures that walk the earth. The tales describe of a creature so like your Decessus, but with one difference. They seem to be rotting and dead. However, your cuddly rat is very much alive with much energy. Everyone loves your new addition to your Keep, well, except the cats and dogs. One day, you watch your Decessus scurrying around your house, finding things here and there. Strangely, the area around your rat becomes brighter, and devoid of dust and filth. You suddenly remember the time when your rat emerged out of the cellar, spotless. You also remember the time when the rat emerged out of its egg. The egg was wet, but the rat was dry. It seems that this rat has an uncanny relation to cleanness. You grin as you find out this new information, and again think that your choice was a fantastic one.

General.

Decessi are a rare sight, running around and always busy with jobs. Many creatures and Magis alike enjoy the rats' company, always welcoming if a rat decides to spend time with them. They bode well with any kind of animal, and and have the most wondrous of powers. The decessi are in the center of light and dark, never tilting to one side unless there is human interference. The rats are distinctively linked with the zombie rats of the night, and their is a rumor that if you bring your decessi to an old man, he will connect your decessi to the undead side. These rats have high magical powers of cleaning, and are always a favorite with women, since the rats are always clean and cute. The unspoken secret of most clean houses is to have a thriving family of Decessi. These decessi live in colonies, and then are divided into families. Decessi families breed rather fast. However, these rats breed only around halloween, and many appear on the streets. After that season, only a select few remain, and the others dissapear.

I would like to give credit to the original writer of the current Decessi's descriptions. I have taken a little bit and reused it. Please take notice of this and do not say that I have copied his.

Also, I'm not saying that this needs to be done by tomorrow, only two colour variations and no more from that. I am not asking for anymore. You can take all the time you want. I only want this to be done...someday. Thank you.

You know, Stormwing, that actually isn't bad. I like the baby Decessi' (both alive and dead) but even now the adult still freaks me out *shudders* I think it could be cute, but what color would the alive version be? And when you give it to the man then would it have to be in egg, hatchling, or adult form for him to turn it?

I was thinking that it would be a different sprite altogether, and since the posture of the current Decessus looks like it's plotting something it would need to be changed. The sprite would be standing on its hind legs, begging for something. ( But any will do except dirty and bloody) The hatchling version is perfectly fine, if made without blood and with a lighter(whiter) colour pallete.
For the quest, what about giving two choices? He would not take the egg( since it isn't born yet, so no way to sacrifice it). He would first refuse the hatchling, saying that it is too young and too small. But when you beg him, he will take it. When he is back, he will have a dead decessi and say
"It lost too much blood. It's dead now."
When you give him the adult, he will take it, and give you the (current) Decessus.

What about a pygmy seahorse. just found these the other day they are CUTE!!!! i would hoard these. they are only about 2cm long.

Well I thought they were neat what they can do but its not very pleasant LOL. Maybe there could be some other talent related to what it actually does but...ya know not so gruesome?
