Most of those are because the user hasn't fixed their signature. There are checkboxes beneath your signature box (where you edit it) that say something like "Disable BBCode" and if that is checked, no creature will show up.

A lot of those seemingly got "re-checked" with the new server.

Your browser should be something like 'Internet Explorer' or 'Firefox'. It's been almost a decade since I used AOL, and from what you're saying you're using their default window to brows in, can you get something like Internet explorer to connect as long as AOL is logged on? (There should be a desktop icon or Startmenu>It should be there at the top somewhere, otherwise it'll be under Startmenu>Programs>probably just hanging out in the main list, that's where it is in most versions of windows)

I found this on a google search for 'clearing the cache on AOLs default window' I don't know what the current most recent version is nor what version you're using but it's worth trying:

AOL - clear browser cache:

AOL 9.0
Click Settings.
Select the Index tab, and click Internet [Web] Options.
Under Browsing History, where it says to Delete temporary files, cookies, saved passwords, and web form information, click Delete.
Wait while the files are deleted, then click OK.


AOL 7.0
In Keyword, enter: PREFERENCES. Or, on the Settings menu on the AOL toolbar, click Preferences.
In the Organization section of the Preferences window, click Internet Properties (WWW).
In the Temporary Internet Files section, click Delete Files.
Click OK.

internet explorer has always had issues with me, i don't know, but it never wants to work at all.

alright, dont have the settings thing so went into keyword and went into the closest thing i could find which was internet [web] options. cleared the temp files and whatnot in that, and it seems like it got rid of everything. though when i open magistream in a new window it's not doing anything. perhaps i need to get off this site and do it again to make it work. will try that.

~edit~ beh. it didn't work. i hate my interent. oh well, i'll live. as long as i can actually get onto the site, im happy.

Have you tried clearing your cache and your cookies in firefox? there was a bit of an issue when the server first came up with browsers still trying to go to the old server and not recognizing the new one.

For the last half hour or so, I keep on getting several "You broke it" and SQL errors.
Site is very very slow and the load goes from 100-150
