Trading:

What is trading?
Trading allows you to give or receive creatures and gold from other players.

How do I trade?
Here's a quick guide how to operate the trade system:
1. Find the user you want to trade with. Find a post of theirs, and click Trades under their avatar. Alternately, go to your trade panel and enter the username of the person you want to trade within the box.
2. Click the creatures you want to send to that person. That will make the fade out a bit. Enter the gold amount you want to trade to the other user in the box provided. Do not use a dot or comma to separate digits (i.e. if you want to trade a thousand gold, write it '1000', not '1,000'.)
3. Click 'Save Changes'. The trade should now show the creatures/gold added to the trade.
4. Enter your account password in the box and click 'Confirm Offer'.
5. You will now have to wait until the other side adds their side of the deal and confirms the offer.
6. Once the offer has been confirmed by the other side, enter your account password again and click 'Confirm Offer'. The trade will now be concluded.

Can every creature be traded?
Unfrozen eggs cannot be traded to prevent people from exceeding the egg limit. Allies cannot be traded either, since those are considered friends, not pets.

What do the different messages in the trade panel mean?
A trade will tell you who started it and who it is currently waiting for. If the trade says 'from you to _____', then you created the trade. If it says 'from _____ to you', it was created by the other side.
If the trade is 'initiated', the one who created it hasn't entered their password yet.
If the trade is 'waiting for response', the creator entered their password and is waiting for the recipient to do so.
If the trade is 'waiting for confirmation', the creator needs to put in his password again to finish the trade.

So...how does one go about accepting an offer? Someone wants to gift me some gold, it's a one-way thing. They don't want anything in return. Nice, right? I think so. Anyway, I don't know how to get this thing going. How do I accept it? Okay, graciously, of course, but HOW do I get it into my gold account? That's my question. Thanks! :D

All you do is confirm the trade so they can finish it to send the gold - no need to add anything on your end. :t-:)

Do I confirm by PM? I did that, but only a little while ago, but if there's another way, let me know. There's nothing on the site that says 'confirm' (or decline, for that matter). We were in a dialogue of sorts today, so... If they're in Europe, it might take a while, I guess, for them to respond. I'm in the US.

Oh, and thanks for trying to help! :D I much appreciate it. <3

No, in the trade.
Trading is a multistep thing here to cut down on things like, accidentally being traded away.

So if the person is sending you a gift, you gotta click where it says 'new trades' select the trade they sent, then you should notice you have the option of modifying your end of the trade(such as adding gold or creatures). Since it's being sent to you as a gift you don't need to add anything, just put your password in and hit confirm offer(since you're confirming that both sides of the trade are correct).
Once that's done all you have to do is wait for them to hit confirm on their end which sends the things in the trade to their respective destinations (in this case the gift to you)

Finally found where I'm to put my password...at the very bottom of the page! Finally did and now I wait. LOL Thanks for helping!

Some of them do at times - and they show up in the Black Market shop at a higher price best I remember - and yes they still cost shards (not gold).

Regarding unfrozen hatchlings,
Is there any reason in particular that users like to keep them that way? I've been freezing mine to collect the hatchling sprites for each creature, but I noticed that not everyone does this.

Some people don't freeze hatchlings because they are going to gift them during gifting events or possibly sell them in shops.
