I was not really thinking and ended up drawing a double headshot with Pheona and Lir :P
what category would that be in, or should I redraw before I color it digitally?

that's up to you :3 as just a sketch it only qualifies for the savantis, though (3rd prize)

for a double shot, even if it's a headshot (it has to be colored, though), it would count towards the second prize- the tienko worth 150k

I'll have to properly read through it tomorrow though and decide from there.
It's kinda 1AM in the morning right now and that wall of text isn't really all sinking in...

Right now I'm trying to re-do my DeviantART account so I can't really show you any examples. Buy I prefer to draw digitally (with a tablet) and believe I am at least decent- Not mind blowing, but a little better than stick drawings.

From what I see (could be wrong.... 1AM.... eyes burning...) you only have a couple examples/ references of what your characters look like. Would it be too much to ask you to find a couple pictures to refer from?
It could be even three or four.... Like for example;
» Mr. Character has hair like this [insert picture here] but with slightly long bangs, a little shorter at the back, and is blue.
» Mr. Character has a facial structure like this [insert picture here] except he has a scar along his noes and his ears are much pointer like this picture [insert picture here].

Bahhhh, I hope I'm making sense...

of course Let me get a few references for you-

(oh, and just so you know, you'll need at least 2 main characters in the pic for the Raiju- that's Rynu, Keisin, Pheona and Lir- Lir can be in either his human or unicorn form) Though if you do a couple shot of Keisin and Pheona I would be VERY happy


Lir's references- 1,300 years old (estimate) looks 30 years old

the build of an Arabian Stallion-


Obviously a light unicorn, the reference for that is in the first post.

With a spiral golden hone- (like a Narwhal's)


His hooves and horn and mane are all made of metallic gold (meaning, it's reflective)

In his human form, he has hair like this-


No facial hair, of course. He's a unicorn

But about down to his waist, and metallic gold. His eyes are also metallic gold.

He has fairly pale skin, with a golden undertone

Rynu- 20 years old (the youngest, but tallest)

Rynu has a darker skin tone- He essentially looks a bit like Johnny Depp, but with a different hair style. (and no facial hair) Like this-


He has a black serpent tattoo winding up his left arm.

He also has a large scar across his chest from his childhood. It looks pretty nasty (puckered and healed over).

but with this hair (black) like that of Will Turner from Pirates of the Caribbean-

(wavy, and goes about down to his shoulders)


His outfit can be anything medieval-ish, as long as it's black. His entire outfit must be BLACK. (maybe brown pants)

he's very dark and brooding, so smiling is not really in his personality much

Keisin- 23 years old

His hair is very similar to this-
but a bit longer and blond in color-

His hair is golden in color, and you can see the amulet he always has around his neck- it's very important to him (holds his soul)

his winter robe goes down to about midway from his feet to his knees- the colors are seen in the pic, and the fur runs entirely along all the seams of the robe, and along the bottom seam of the robe.

He looks a bit like Orlando Bloom in his facial structure (much more smooth than Rynu) but has no facial hair and his skin is slightly more tanned (from the sun reflecting off the snow at his home)

Pheona- 22 years old

Pheona's hair is like that in the pic in my signature- it goes down to about her shoulders, and is black and swept to the side.

She has a similar appearance to Natalie Portman-


She is short and fairly slight, but not too skinny. She's pretty curvy, unlike Natalie.

Pheona has deep red eyes- as well as a more tan skin tone than Keisin or Rynu.

She's fairly flirty with Keisin, but protective and chummy toward Rynu. She doesn't realize it though, that's just how she naturally is.

I'll start sketching now and send you a link through to DA when it's done.
It will take a while to get to a finished product; but February 14th is with PLENTY of time.
It will have a big fat watermark on it on DA, but if you want a non-watermarked version sent to you I can always do that after the contest is finalized. I hope that's okay. c:
