I haven't tried yet (only have one adult), but someone in another thread said that they bred a white pegasus and a black pegasus and got an egg.

Yes you can, I did it (I mean light and dark).
That is exactly what I said! You can currently only breed either a light and dark pegasi or two lights or two darks ...
