Decessi question...

Post by Lithuen »

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this question but there it is.... if its moved that's ok. Anyways back to my question. When you get a decessi from the stream so you immediately know if it is going to hatch "dead" or do you have to wait thru egg stage to find out? Also are the dead ones pretty rare? I've only seen 1 in someone's sig so far this year. :italian:

You'll have to wait until the eggs hatch before you'll know.

No there's no way to tell ahead of time if they're going to hatch dead or not.

And I think something like 1/10 hatch dead. People usually clear the dead ones out of their sigs soon after they hatch so you won't see many in people's signatures.

They cannot breed. At least my last year ones can't. Don't know if it's different for the new ones.

I've got an egg too. Let's see if it will come out alive.

When they're born dead, are they automatically frozen? I don't remember freezing mine...

Yes, it's automatic... Dead things can't grow after all.

But freezing live hatchlings will NOT kill them.
