Can we use pineapples? I don't believe I will be able to find pumpkins where I live, but we have no shortage of pineapples!!!

Awesome idea, but not for this year. But about time we had another contest! :t-dance:

I don't know what part of the country YOU'RE in, but I'm in the US, and there's just as many pumpkins available as any other year- at least, gauging by the store fronts and their giant bins. The prices are about average from every other year too. I've even seen some as low as $.10 a pound.
I've seen a hell of a lot of pumpkins here. :orly:

@EtherealGoddess: Like Knuckerbearer said, but with the seeds you can also cook them. Just take all the seeds out and spread them on a cookie sheet and put them in the oven. I'm not sure at what temperature or for how long though.

Food Network recently played their pumpkin carving contest thing again, from last year..?
They go all out during these types of competitions. I'll see if I can get my dad to take me to Acme this sunday and I can pick up a pumpkin and get some supplies.

Thank goodness that I have a knife set.

I would love to participate in this!

But unfortunately, in my country we don't have this type of pumpkin ¬¬. They are green and ugly!
