first, let's break yarly down.
ya rly
this means "yeah, really".
therefore, it's sort of a... yeah really pose.
and what do people do when they say: "yeah, really!"?
they cross they're arms and nod.

I always thought he was putting his hand on his chest, and the other arm just hanging there. It just seemed like a "Yarly" pose to me :t-shrug:
"We are the weirdos, mister."

I just find it... yarly.
I always use the yarly when I'm like "I ish so awsome" or "Meh".

I've always thought that it was "hey, no joke, I'm serious. And what I say, it's always right". Like if I say: "Wyrms are the most crazy-fantastic creatures that has ever existed on MS :yarly: "

I always thought that it was gesturing towards something that it had said, as in confirming something, like: "Yeah. Really." It would kind of look like this:

I always thought it was a 'Ha. I told you I was right' pose. Like crossed arms and chin high in the air. :yarly:

Now that I think about it, it does look quite a bit like this.

i think he's got his left hand on his chin, but only the bottom, and his hand is open with his fingers on his left cheek, and his right hand in a fist on his hip, with his eyes just barely open enough to see, like he's thinking, being proud, and is annoyed with something at the same time: :yarly:

Edit: just found something out! the other smilies don't like the yarly! - :yarly: - >D :t-boo:
My neighbor once asked me if he could use my lawnmower. I said of course he could, as long as he didn't take it out of my yard.

^ This. I always thought it had its hands spread out as if presenting something. I never even thought it could be a hand on its chin until this thread. XD
