Re: Valentine's Day Competition
I try to not worry about when the announcement will come. They're uber busy trying to work on the site so I am not worried about this in the least. Plus they have to comb through a ton of entries when they do get time.

Re: Valentine's Day Competition
Dunno Midnight on the 14th technically is 1 minute past 11:59pm on the 13th...so think I entered too late
I hadn't read that part when I entered. Just the '14th" and figured I had time.
No biggie, though. I didn't draw anything like lots of people did. Just made a mushy one about the koi and ibex making capricorn. All I had to do was fiddle with positions of the creatures a bit.
It was fun anyway.
I think they forgot about it anyway, LOL. Course, there were at least 4 pages of entries....

I can assure you that we did not forget about it. It just takes some time to choose the winners.
Re: Valentine's Day Competition
I think that the contest ended at the site rollover between Feb 14 and Feb 15 - I was always taught that 12am ended the day and 12:01am started the next day. Of course, I could be remembering wrong- grade school was a long time ago. Or it could depend on whether you use military style time or not. My computer clock doesn't change it's date until 12:01.shadowrose45 wrote:Dunno Midnight on the 14th technically is 1 minute past 11:59pm on the 13th...so think I entered too late

Maybe we'd better let the mods clarify this, since my grasp of the intricacies of time-keeping is not the best.

Re: Valentine's Day Competition
If you find yourself getting nervous or impatient over the results, simply repeat the following words from a wise man (even if he was a character in a movie):
"Sun is warm. Grass is green."
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to go repeat those words to myself silently.

Re: Valentine's Day Competition
*head to desk* The other day I was organizing my photobucket and moved my entry. I didn't realize till later what that meant. Sadly my link to my entry went poof . . . hence the silly huge letters in my siggy with the new link. I hope they get it.

We are told that the day ends at 11:59 to the infini-ith seconds/milliseconds and starts at the beginning of 12 AM on the exact dot.
