I might be wrong but I thought there was a way maybe by item or quest that you could unfreeze eggs or creatures

No it gives no way for normal users to unfreeze any stuff. but i asked for an item to unfreeze stuff, but we don't will get this item. i also asked for an item or master belmos service for an fee to unfreeze rare stuff like Donationcritters, but i'm unsure if we ever will get this
