None yet, but I have an appointment to get my first piece started on Dec 11! Wish me luck <3 it's going to be a collage of nature things (bugs, plants, mushrooms, and a snake) starting at my sternum ang going down one side of my body, over my hip and a bit down my outer right thigh. I'm super excited! :D

I am actually a tattoo artist! I have 5 total(I know, I’m slacking being an artist myself, but I’m very picky about my designs). My first one was a thigh tattoo that I had drawn up originally and brought to the artist who then taught me to tattoo. I have the Captain Jack Sparrow sparrow tattoo, a whale tail cause I was missing the ocean(did this one myself), and random design I drew on fake skin then tattooed on my other thigh that still needs color and touch up, and my last one, my favorite one, and probably my ‘worst looking’ one. A stick figure Mario. I don’t even like Mario. I had a really great friend of my shop tattoo it on me, entirely under the supervision of trained artists since he is not one. It’s really not bad, it’s a good looking stick figure for someone who doesn’t tattoo. I don’t even like Mario, but the experience was awesome and it’s a cool story.

No, but I've been considering getting a tattoo for a long time. My sisters both have ink with mixed results. My middle sister has a dragon in a teacup on her shoulder, which is a twin tattoo she got with her best friend, who has a matching teacup dragon on her ankle. It looks great and she's very happy with it. My youngest sister's tattoos are more of a...mess. She had a random friend with an ink gun tattoo "SASSY" right behind her and it looked...very bad. The letters were all sloppy and misaligned. She eventually got it covered up with a big solid cross, so I guess it ended up okay. The other one is a weed butterfly on her buttcheek, which she now regrets since she's grown out of her rebellious phase and is now a mom. She hasn't done anything about it yet but I'm pretty sure at some point she can just get it altered to look like a non-weed butterfly and that should handle it.
So yeah if I get a tattoo I'm going to do it not in a garage and with a professional. Not sure what I'm going to get yet but I really like the idea of a fox to represent me, a wolf to represent my middle sister, and a rabbit for my youngest sis.

i have 12 tattoos on my body right now and am going in for my 13th in March! I love all of them (Even the poor choice ones I got when I was younger because its all different era's of my life). As for pain, I always tell everyone that pain is relative to the person. What hurt someone one person might not hurt another. I explain it as feeling like a bee sting on a sunburn. It's uncomfortable but tolerable. None of them 'hurt' badly to get, though each had small points where I was like "Oh hello.. yep that hurt!" but not the entire thing. For example I got a large piece on my bicep but the only part that really got to me was when it got close to the armpit.

Left Calf: Red snake like fire dragon (this one is a reinking, had to fix a 20 year old tattoo and have it remade)
Right Calf: Blue asian style water dragon
Stomach: Matching pouncing foxes on both hips
Left Hand: Kitsune style fox with tails morphing into flowers
Left Wrist: Trinity Knot
RIght Wrist: Another celtic knot
Right Bicep: A blood moon with a 3 tail runic fox holding a lantern in its mouth
Lower back: Dragon wrapped around a celtic knot (This was my first tattoo i ever got)
Between Shouders: Celtic Cross
Right Clavicle: ghost cat sitting on a skull

For any of you people who are curious about getting one or are soon going in for there first ink, The best advice I can give you is research the shop. Go in and check it out, talk to potential artist and make sure you find the right artist for you. You want to be comfortable with the person and like there art style. Next, pick a place that you will not regret; like don't pick highly visible areas such as neck, hands, fingers or face. Also, realize that there WILL BE FLAWS. No matter how good at tattoo artist is, you will always find tiny flaws and that is okay. Ink bleeds, lines fade and color will always fade over time. Just be prepared to live with that.

Last bit of advice. PLEASE DO NOT get images tattooed on you that are someone elses art with out the artist permission and don't get a tattoo that you saw someone else had on the internet. A tattoo should be something you like and if you like something someone else had, show it to the artist and tell them you want something similar if you are set on it, but seriously..why would you want the exact same tattoo someone else has. Make it you unique and your own!

I currently have 17 tattoos! But I am due for a half day sitting on the 26th to add roughly 5-7 more pieces!

On my right leg, I am doing my entire families handwriting with something to represent them. Example: My Aunt Rosie loved roses and unicorns so I have her handwriting with a unicorn and a rose! My current favorite on this leg is my knee with my grandmother's handwritings. This also includes my foot tattoo. I have 6 family tattoos so far on this leg.

On my left leg I have my dogs paw print since I adore him. 3 cat meme tattoos. And a portrait of my pet mouse, Brinks, who passed.

On my sternum, I have a half moon. On my collar bone I have a matching heart tattoo with my life long best friend.

On my back I have a memorial tattoo for my very best friend who died suddenly. It is a dandelion blowing away as music notes with her dates and her name in her own handwriting.

On my buttcheeks (College, what can i say?) I have a symbol from my favorite band, a rose, and a big heart with a skeleton hand holding a rose.

On my neck behind my ear I have Alice, the white rabbit, the mad hatters hat, and a heart.

For my half day sitting Ill be adding lots of family pieces but also a llama to the palm of my hand jumping on a trampoline because why not?

Pain wise -- I have a ridiculously high pain tolerance. I sit like a rock. None of mine have hurt so far! The only spot that effected me the slightest was on my knee, along the side of it! It stung a little more than usual. I also have a dermal on my sternum and even that did not cause me any pain!

Wow, that's so many! Love the idea with the llama. :hooray:
Good luck with your next sitting, but from what you described it should be walk in the park for you. :D

I'll visit a studio for the first time in about two weeks to check to it and talk to an artist. I know what I want (several things, but I want to start with a chest piece of a crow) so I'm a bit nervous but in a positive, excited way. Maybe you can lend me some of your pain tolerance for when the big day comes..

To be honest though, I'd say I have a pretty average pain tolerance so it should be fine. I'm just a very vocative person so I'll complain a lot if it's painful/itchy afterwards (not during the session though, don't want to annoy the artist. :derr: )

I don't have any yet, but I have an appointment to get one! It's gonna be a Correspondence symbol on my hand, for all five of you on this site who play Fallen London LOL

I only have 4 tattoos.

My favorite tattoo is the six horses around my left ankle.
My least favourite tattoo is the pink dolphin on my right ankle. It just doesn't look that professional.
My most favourite tattoo is the ornate writing in cursive script on my left hip. It contains the name of my best friend who died many years ago.

Why most painful tattoo was a horses around my left ankle because it's very intricate and it's low on my ankle.

I plan to get a phoenix on my right leg next just above the knee.
