I feel like maybe there should be a way to see who has gifted you so you can gift them in return maybe?

I have 5 gifts and kinda want to know who they are from to gift back during the event rather then having to trade them a gift. heh

Once you open your gifts there is a note telling who sent the gift (unless the sender used the option to send it anonymously), so when you get to opening your gifts you can take down their names then.

I will not be able to unwrap my presents until January 17. Does the tree disappear?

The gifts will be available until the next gifting event which most likely will not happen during January so you should still have your gifts when you have the chance of opening them.

You can always send a gift using a regular trade though.
