No, the design should be solely your own. If you potentially won and your design used someone else's idea, MagiStream could have a copyright issue if we put that creature into the site.
What if we used a base? The texture, design, color is all original, but the structure is loosely formed around a base. Could we do that?

(I probably won't anyways, just curious.)

I would have to say no, simply because its still using another design even if you are 'referencing'. To protect against copyright infringing, the best way is to avoid referencing another artists' design and create your own.

I'm gonna give it a shot (though I doubt I'll win, seeing as there are so many amazing artists on here). May the best artists win! :D

Hum... is the use of free outlines allowed? As a base, I mean. Because I suck at proportions and outlines often help lol. The concept of the creatures are totally my own.

No - all art must be completely your own.

Aww, don't be that way. All of you are true artists, your imagination is filled with ideas, you just have to let it run free sometimes. ((My imagination is a bit too free... :italian: ))

Is it possible for one person to win both entries? Not asking because I think it will happen but mainly out of curiosity as it is never really stated whether winning one disqualifies you from winning the other or how they would decide which one to keep. >.>
