I feel like I'm nowhere near good enough a writer to possibly win this, but I am tempted to enter...is this going to be only the one winner, or will there be a few?

You should enter! Even if you don't win, the point is to have fun and be creative and try something new. The real winning comes from what you learn during the experience. But that's just my opinion.

A question, does the story have to be from the POV of a magi? Or can it be from say, a creature or an ally that's staying at the Keep?

Any of these options is acceptable.

If there's one thing the MS staff never is, then it is being on time when declaring winners of a contest.
