Must be related to the Baltimore Oriole because they're nearly identical or close to it. I think you are correct, though. I did further investigating and found that the Baltimore Oriole has a shorter, more conical beak, and it has white stripes or bars on its wings rather than a solid white band, not to mention that its black hood doesn't go down the front like it does with the Venezuelan troupial. Good call! :-D
