Silence

Silently, quietly, filled with dread
laughter, shadow, things in my head

darkness, stillness, like a grave
stone, marble, set brave

claws, teeth, screams ring out
fear, terror, evil about

coldness, lifeless, corpse still as stone
rag, web, laying just naked bone

monster, murder, killer all known
silent, quiet, the dead don't groan.

I feel the pulse
the blood under the skin
life ebbing slowly
what once had been

cold skin
pale lips
dark eyes
skeleton hips

a beauty as pale as the moon
lovely pale thrill
why is your heart so cold
does it not beat still

why do i shiver

Once I've seen skin so pale
so lovely, lovely and frail
the moon was fiercely mad
which made my heart so very sad
the beauty compaired to the night
that was never right
the lady Luna, ruler of midnight
how can they dare give the lady a fright
beautiful lady, pale and bright
it is only you i dream under at night

lady under the shimmering veil
