huh I'm probably late but if I'm right PN (Projectnyoka) got attacked as well or at least they think they got hacked and we lost at least a week's worth of data if not more.

I keep getting Error messages.
"You broke it!" Did not...

Think I ave an idea as to why a pet site would get attacked xxd . People hwho have no lives generally d this xd cause they bored xd. There's really no good explanation other then that and most of those people think it's fun to screw things up.

This makes me wonder...what sites are next? I'm on several and I really don't to lose any data on them!

Same though I have recently dropped a few since there was just to many (that and I forgot my pass and was to lazy to find it again).

It looks like some @§§ is attacking a lot of pet sites, how many have we heard of now? Subeta and Project Nyoka, and I think a couple of more, all within the last week. Maybe it's a coincidence that it happened right at our anniversary... that the little §H!? is just randomly attacking pet sites, his version of fun.

Although, I must admit, I'm more inclined to think it's targeted at us. Both because he's obviously not letting up, and mostly because of the timing. It does sound like someone who's been banned. I recall someone who re-joined under a new name, merely to post a long angry rant about her and her friend being banned.


Hmmm... maybe Morgaln could substitute his Banhammer for Thor's hammer, Mjolnir, and go after those who've been banned? /not helpful, mostly for the lolz

It's most likely not personal. Sites with high traffic receive DDOS attacks all rhe time. The perpetrators are simply trying to halt traffic to those sites because they can. WordPress, liveJournal, and FaceBook have all been targeted in the past. In the rare instances when the prpetrator can be caught they aren't even members of the site they atttacked. They simply try sites which look popular and appear to have high traffic until they find one with a weakness. Until/ unless all the code weaknesses and holesin security are closed, they will continue their attack. LiveJournal's ladted over two weeks and i am on a few sites where it is ongoing after a month.

Let's not ake more of this than there is.

Don'T know if it was the same issue...but the Dragon cave Forums were down yesterday and the Cave was laggy too.
Sounds really like a "warm-up" to test a huge Botnet simultaneously on several websites ><

All day today, MagiStream was not working. Was anyone else having this problem?

Everyone was; I'm not sure if you saw it since you posted, but there was a (hardware?) problem with the server.
