I just lost my mind "In search of Monsters" (SOLVED)

I just did the "In Search of Monsters" quest. The one with the chupacabra, manticore, and albino nandi egg. I got all of those eggs and had a free egg slot. When I clicked the left path, the screen went blank. I waited about 15 seconds and reloaded MS and all the eggs were gone, but no spider egg.

Sounds like part of the Quest system glitches; I'd suggest messaging Morgaln.

So, you're getting your first egg? Try going back to the quest - there's more story before you actually get the egg (and I seem to remember a glitch even before the crash).
