What does this mean?

I was going through the rules of conduct to clear up an issue I had, and I saw a rule I was curious about:

It is expressly forbidden to post any images or links to images from the magistatic.com domain as well as any creature that belongs to a staff member. Any violation of this rule will result in an immediate warning.

I don't understand it, and I want to. What is that site, and why are we not allowed to post stuff from it? I tried to go to it, but it just took me to Magistream (I left right away). And why isn't it allowed to post staff members' creatures?
I'm not complaining or trying to start a riot or something, but I want to know what the rule means so I can make sure I'm following it.

This rule is designed to prevent people from finding out what new creatures are in advance through fishy methods. If you don't understand this, there's a good chance that you're absolutely not breaking it. I myself dunno how the heck to access images from that magistatic domain, and I've been playing this site for more than a year.

Now, though, it's impossible to post staff members' creatures that they wouldn't want you posting, anyway. 'Cos they can hide their keeps and all.

In effect, that is a 'no spoiler' rule. It was added at a time when people would get very creative in finding out what a new creature would look like as a hatchling or an adult before anyone had hatched one, like going through creature numbers until they found one in Tristan's or Damien's keep, or finding the link that leads to where the image is stored on the server. By now Tristan has taken precautions to make these next to impossible, so you can't really violate this rule. It can probably be removed from the rules, but I'll have to double-check with Tristan to be sure.
Either way, you don't have to worry about this rule at the moment, it's extremely unlikely you'll manage to run afoul of it.

And it /can't/ be illegal to post staff creatures any more, right? Staff members use sitting services too...

Staff don't give codes to creatures not yet officially released to be sat, so that should never be an issue. Spirit of the rule is don't spoil the sekrits.
