The Billboard ~ New Roleplays/Roleplay Assistance
Posted: June 7th, 2011, 12:33:18 pm
*New* We now have a place to discuss your roleplays with other people: Roleplay Brainstorming Center
As promised, I have created a thread to help newly created roleplays. You can also request roleplays to be placed here for peer review or if your older roleplay is starting to "die". This is entirely optional. If you do not want your roleplay up here, then you do not have to submit one. I have just a few rules, so bear with me.
~ Follow all of the Magistream Rules of Conduct and the Roleplay Stage Rules of Conduct
~ Please PM your form to either Fang or I; we will look it over to see if there are any errors
~ The rest of this thread is for on topic discussion and relevant questions.
~ This is for general roleplays only, not for anything in the Private Stage
~ Please make your summary no longer than one paragraph, if possible.
~ Please fill out all sections of the form, unless the section is listed as optional.
~ You may only submit roleplays that you have created, unless you have explicit permission by the thread creator to submit that creator' roleplay.
~ Up to fifteen roleplays will be on the Billboard at a time. If the number of forms passes fifteen, or several months go by, I will wipe the Billboard and place the old forms in the What was on the Billboard last time? section. These will be removed and replaced during the next wipe. If your roleplay has been moved off of the Billboard, please PM me with a new form.
~ Only submit a form if your roleplay:
1. Has been created recently
or
needs more/active members
2. Is complete and open to the public
3. Adheres to all of Magistream's rules
Feel free to ask any questions if you have them.
For Critiquing:
~ If a user requests it, you may give constructive criticism of a roleplay. If a user's form requests that the roleplay not be critiqued, or if there is nothing listed about critiques or reviews, then do not critique that roleplay.
~ If you are the critic, be tactful; you may give thoughtful analyses of a roleplay, and offer suggestions for improvement. Likewise, only request criticism if you can handle negative comments as well as positive ones; you may request criticism after your roleplay is posted, and you may request that the criticism option be removed, but please do so through PMing Fang or me.
~ Flaming is prohibited, and if a review gets out of hand, we will remove the option to review that roleplay.
~ Remember that:
Not everyone has, or likes, long plots or posts in their roleplays
Not every roleplay follows the same format
Some people enjoy certain genres more than others
Ultimately, the choice to accept suggestions is up to the thread creator
Form:
**The "Other" section of the form can relate to anything relevant to your roleplay, including literacy rating, whether you want it to be critiqued, whether there are a limited number of spaces available, whether it is a sequel, whether it is based on something (book, movie, video game, etc.), if you need more of a certain kind of character, what the main character's favorite color is, et cetera.
