Summary: in this life you are born into two different types of people, a sekerei or an ashikabi the ashikabi are those living a normal life in the city, minding their own business and worrying about themselves,but with the normal life they have there was no reason not for danger to be involved. That is where those born as a sekerei are part of. These sekerei are protectors of the ashikabi, they are free to live like a normal human, keeping secrets of the powers they have in them. The sekerei are born to protect their ashikabi by a contract. This contract must be accepted by both, making then into a bonded pair for life.
