The Basket [Easter Adoptable] [Hatched!]

Eggs have started appearing all through the keep. Hidden on tops of archways and left among the eggs of unsuspecting companions these eggs are everywhere. Not content with finding the hidden eggs you wander the keep looking for the source. It proves an easier task than you expected as there is a small group of young magi following the 'source' of these eggs; a young cacao jackalope carrying a plain woven basket in his mouth.

He looks up at you, all twitching nose and shining eyes, and holds the basket up to you. Inside there is a handful of eggs and...books?

Moving your eggs into the sun you notice one seems to be peeling. Glittery fragments of shell have started flaking away in a way that you've not seen before. As you watch more and more of the metallic shell fall away revealing something chocolate brown underneath. Within the hour there may not be any shell left!

Now bare, your eggs look like chocolate and feel solid. Holding one gently in your hands you bend to sniff this softer shell. As soon as you breathe in you hear a tiny squeak coming from inside the egg and feel the egg tremble as it begins to crack. You pick up a sliver of the shell and pop it into your mouth. Carnauba wax?! But it looks like chocolate!

In the morning you find a strange glittering creature sitting where you left the waxy brown shell the night before. It's obviously magical in origin, but it's hard to tell what it was made for.

The flesh of the creature is soft and tender, but it's whole body is covered in tiny rough scales that flake away at the lightest touch. Everywhere it goes it leaves a trail of these brightly colored scales behind. It's eyesight isn't that great and it moves like a snail. You can't think of a single use for it.

Still, the more time you spend with it the happier you feel. You find yourself remembering happier times especially those from your childhood. Maybe that's what these funny little things are for.

They're the biggest things I've done in a good while (79x71 is huge for me rotfl).

I really shouldn't have done them so early though. I've been dying to upload them. I should've put it off until maybe a week before Easter.
