Just a small comment, i was going to post and original creature from something i'm writing. I took sometime in char develpoment and even on the drawing and developing. The fact that we won't be able to use our submissions if it gets chosen made turn around and drop the idea of participating, i understand why you do so, but still, i'm quite certain that i'm not the only one that thinks like this.
This mostly because of the time limit. With so little time, it's most likely that people would use creatures they had created before.
Juts my two cents and sorry if offend anyone, i assure it's not my intention.

The deadline is noon Eastern Standard Time, which is in about 2 1/2 hours.

Usually we find out in about a week. However, it may take longer depending on whether the staff artists have to finish the sprites first.

I think that they will award the winners with crystal shards first and when the creature sprites are done, you get them.
