Freesia wrote:I don't know how long I have been a furry myself, but I did discover it shortly after graduating. I personally have a couple sona characters. My first main one that I used to draw art of a lot was a tortie/calico with large white patches of fur which I believe is known as somantic mutation named Frost. I then changed up their design and turned them into a german shepherd dog under the name Audrey. Keeping them as the shepherd I changed their coat pattern to the recently discovered panda mutation also under the same name. I finally recently changed them to a currently unnamed Muntjac deer.

I also have a dragonsona named Night who I may redesign an well as rename in the future. Then there is my scalesona or crocsona that is a Black Caiman named Camille.
All of your sonas sound amazing cool! By any chance do you have pics of them? They would be really cool to see! My boyfriend is a scaley himself. Ancient Multi-elemental dragon to be precise. I understand the name change. Especially as years go by. Hope you find the perfect names for them! ^ ^

*casual wave* Hi there, I'm a furry. I have several sonas... most of which are quietly resting in my sketchbook waiting to be brought to life.

Personally i don't really know I guess lol?? I roleplay a lot using animals, honestly I could name all of my characters since I get attached to them- but I don't really identify as them? Like I put pieces of myself into any character I make, yes, but I don't have a sona, ya know? It's not that I don't like the community, I do, I just don't really have a sona to identify as or with, or have much of an interest in one?

Not sure if it counts as furry but I'm a huge fan of human/animal hybrids. I find the possible biology fascinating!

Funnily enough, I actually have a dragon persona named Cobalt that I used to call my fursona, but now I just use her as my general persona to represent myself on sites like Furvilla (which, in fact, I'm actually on). So I don't really consider myself to be a furry, even though a majority of the people I've met on Furvilla identify themselves as furries (I think). And I'm also a huge fan of anthropomorphic animals in fiction.

I understand that big time! I have a lot of furries I roleplay as, most are just sitting on the shelf.

That is awesome! Being able to literally be any character you want, at any given moment, is really cool! Sort of like living a thousands lives. ^ ^
