Re: Creatures 409- 420
These little guys are small but lovely and they compliment their Crystalwing kin well. *sigh* I got a female Rewin dragon but I doubt I might ever get a hold of a Crystalwing. These pretty dragons will just be another creature I won't be able to have...
I'm curious. I read The Forgotten Race a few times and now I wonder. If the people in the story were Alabaster...then why don't we have a white Crystalwing line? It can represent Opal or diamond and have maybe translucent crystals
Another cool one would be a Obsidian or Onyx colored one...black like the caves but with pretty orbs.

Bit late I know but i just noticed this...the birdwing searulis pygmy has a really long neck like the full sized one does...but the bat winged pygmy does not. is is supposed to so they match, or is the birdwing the odd one out?

I forget what the artists said happened, but yeah, that one is the odd one out. I just figure he's stretching, maybe reaching for a treat. Most birds have much longer necks than they appear to, because they usually keep their head close to the body, but when they stretch, MAN what a neck!

Maybe it just takes more after the Saerulis Crystalwing side rather than the Rewin. If you look it also has a much more slender body shape and longer tail as well, like the Saerulis Crystalwing which is shaped differently from the other CWs.

That was always my assumption--I thought they were supposed to look different.

I never noticed the difference. I kind of like the short neck though, for some reason it gives it a cuteness and makes it different from its relations.
