Tristan really had no part in the hydra's planning, the artists who took part planned all that. He almost didn't know about them till Glass sent him a text to release them. The hydras were not part of the anniversary but a special release for #500.
The number 5 kept coming up--5 active artists taking part in it, #500 creature near the 5th Magianniversary in the 5th month of the year, thus came the idea of continuing 5's with 5 headed hydras with 5 different elements.
Ok I've a question that hopefully you'll be able/allowed to answer. Does that mean these are not event creatures of any kind and will be sticking around in some form or another(you don't have to say where they'll be staying) or will they 100% be leaving the stream and never coming back any time soon. It's just as awesome as they are and all I'm confused 'cause if they aren't even pets then why are they flooding the stream for so long?

Re: Magistream's 5th anniversary
@SirRaychu: We [artists] all agreed that we did not want these as Limited Edition pets. And they shouldn't be. The Amphista [#200] was a special release with the intent of being permanent, and they are. The only special thing about the hydras is they're creature 500 - it's not a holiday (even though they're near the anniversary). I'm sure we'll contest for permanency if these happen to be taken out.
