Oh my goodness I need to get some picks in here of my snoots and all my pets in general. Mainly pets owned by me are cats and snakes and a turtle though there are also dogs and birds. I have some rats I'm hoping to breed to have some feeder pups and rats for me and my friend who got into the reptile hobby with me. I love my pets though I'm not much of a dog person I do have some affection for our dogs. My happy place is with my cats and my snoots.

Each has an individual story so once I get some nice pics of them I'll do some spoiler tags with each ones story :3

I have a Yorkie named Frank who is basically just a fuzzy grey football on legs. He is around 3 or 4 years old. He had a brother named Slim Shady who died around 2 or 3 years ago when he got out of our yard and drowned in a neighbour's swimming pool, as a result of this I am super protective of Frank. He's technically a family dog, but he sleeps in my room and is terrified of my 8-year-old sister so he's pretty much mine. We previously have had a dachsund-chihuahua mix named Ren who died when he was living at our grandmother's when we were in a no-pets-allowed apartment, and a chihuahua named Louie who was really snappy when I was little so he moved out to our grandmother's and died peacefully a year or two ago. Frank, however, is hilarious. He is alternately terrified of/really loves people, and sometimes my siblings will run around the house and he'll chase them, barking like crazy. He sounds like a much bigger dog than he really is, and he barks at everything.

Anybody have any experience with Ferrets? I'm looking into getting one, because I love them so much, but I have nothing about them, other than how to properly care for them. I want owner's first-hand experience.

Essentially, I fell in love with one at a petshop, because if I put my hand in the tank, he would make weird noises, and jump, trying to climb up my arm until I picked him up, and when I did, he would instantly snuggle into my chest, and just sit there. It was so cute
I try to return clicks! Thank you so much for any clicks!

Ferrets are awesome but they have a lot of energy and can be pretty bitey unless they are trained not to bite people :3 but they are also super playful and entertaining, and they will steal and hide ANYTHING small enough for them to move around haha

I currently have 3 rats, a Syrian hamster and 7 gerbils :3 rodents are love <3

Ferret rule number 1: If it's not nailed down, it's a toy. Ferret rule number 2: If I can pry it up, it wasn't really nailed down.
Ferrets are fun to play with, but they are a lot of work to keep. They also have e very strong scent even when neutered/spayed. You definitely want to look into proper cages and feed for them before getting one.I also would suggest you find out if any nearby veterinarians are good with them.
Feel free to click my entire keep. Anything I don't want to grow is protected.

Alright so I made the mention that I would post up pictures and such of all my snoots so here we go.

Oliver
Spoiler
Image
After loosing one of my cats which I had raised from a kitten and being really depressed, this little ball of angst of love showed up practically at my door step. He started off as a really cuddly kitten and as he got older got a little feistier seeing as hes a boy but thats okay because he still likes occasional cuddles so long as they're on his terms. Hes so expressive, a vet mentioned he might be part Siamese and with how vocal hes become I believe it. Hes so funny and his tail is the best part of him Whether happy or aggravated, his tail always wags. He'll wag it when I come home as hes making his way towards, the end waving around a bit while its straight up in the air, or he'll be lying down and his tail will twitch and wave about. Hes my baby though, and I adore him to death.
Blacky
Spoiler
Image
Blacky came to me already as an older cat and when I first saw him, I saw him as any other stray. At the time I didnt want any troule for strays coming to my house to feed off the food I would leave out for a female cat across the street who frequented my house so I would try to shoo him away. One day though I let him come close and realized just hoe emaciated he was and felt absolutely terrible for having tried to scare him away when he was only looking for some food so little by little I gained his trust and fed him every day and night. Eventually he warmed up to me and I took him to get neutered along with another cat called yin (res in peace). Now he is a plumpy little fatty just full of love and affection. He is such a grateful cat and so tolerant of our overly physical love, never scratching or biting you when you hold him even if he doesn't want it. Always so happy to see you, nuzzling onto your leg and licking your hand. He loves to get pet and fall asleep at your feet or on your lap if he chooses. Hes nothing but a ball of fur and affection and I feel so blessed to have this wonderful cat by my side.
Lunar Ghost (AKA: Luna)
Spoiler
Image

She was my first pet snake ever. I got her as a small noodle not freshly hatched but she was rather small. I've been raising her and all the troubles shes put me through have made me a much more experienced reptile owner. I lost her twice and both time she thankfully remained in my home despite us always having the back door open so I eventually found her. She has an amazing attitude too! She is a little feisty and a bit hissy but she never strikes. She did do some mock strikes back when I first started taming her but she is completely docile now only does some cranky hisses and then completely mellows out once shes in my hands. She is okay with others handling her too never hissing or striking at anyone new. Shes so spunky and adorable I just love her to death and can't wait for her to get big.
Cake
Spoiler
Image
(Yes that's me in the image. I am okay with sharing this.)
Cake was my first ball python, I bought him off some people on facebook who needed to down size and couldn't keep him. He came along with a little hognose who I gave to a good friend of mine as a present. Cake is the absolute sweetest snake. Hes a little hissy so when hes touched or moved around when hes comfy he starts too hiss but hes not aggressive at all. Once hes held hes a sweetie and just loves to cruise around and be cuddled. He even does this thing where he crawls a bit up my shoulder and hangs his head a little and curls the rest of his body under one of my boobs and I'll just carry him around like a big baby. I'll even stroke him and pat his butt and he just stays there until he wants to move around on his own. His name actually took me about a month to come up with simply because its one of the stupidest play on words that I am dosrkishly proud of. So my Cake is a pastel ball python, and well pastel in English is used for soft creamy colors. I'm Latina and the same spelling for pastel means cake. So I simply just sat there and was like "Pastel Ball python, pastel mean cake in Spanish. Your name shall be cake from now on." and thus his name was decided upon. Hes going to hopefully be the daddy of some clutches if my friend and I do everything right.
Lucy
Spoiler
Image
Lucy is a more recent addition, shes a big proven breeder that along with another proven breeder at a reptile show in Anaheim. Shes an absolute sweet heart, never hissing or striking and only ever biting me once. The one time she bit me I believe she was really hungry and ended up mistaking my finger for some food. After holding her at bay from coiling around my hand she finally gave up and let go. I calmly put her away in her tub and washed off my hand. Other than that once fed properly she has been a big ol sweet heart, eating rats readily, and loving all the cuddles. Shes a very big girl, but she is so docile and sweet. Shes going to be part of mine and my friends first breeding project so I might be posting little babies soon.
Connie
Spoiler
Image
Connie was the original breeder female that my friend and I purchased, her friend Lucy coming along as a gift from the breeder that sold her to us. She is a shy and skittish little thing, while not aggressive she manages to scare her self when you move too fast or she bumps into a moving part of you which sets of a domino affect of her then bumping into something else that scares her causing her to bump into something else that scares her. She is quite friendly though, never hissing or striking, I've never been tagged by her even once. Once shes being held and gets over most of her initial shyness she moves rather quick, though she is not as lengthy as Lucy so its easier to keep her close and let her cruise in your hands. Shes also going to be breeding with my male this season so if everything goes right I hope she has no troubles and lays a wonderful and healthy clutch of eggs.

Atuin wrote:There is something that really annoys me. And that is owners who do not pick up after their dog. I've been falsely accused twice of not picking up after my dog. And it doesn't help by giving the anti-dog Brigade an excuse to ban dogs from parks and beaches. It's an important part of dog ownership. The poop could contain anything and though children are un likely to pick any up, they might and it's a pain if you tred on it.

It's not expensive even to pick it up. I buy simple Nappy sacks from the supermarket and they work just fine. I, either carry them, or tie them to my dog's lead. Unless of course I can find a bin. Ideally one that specialises in dog poo.
I agree with them D:
