Re: Choose Your Path Wisely (The Prophecy)
Sorry Hopefire! hypnoplatypus answered first, so that answer is the only one valid. C it is!
Sierra shrugged. "Xavier? You haven't said anything in a while."
Xavier grunted. "You've all made valid points...but there's something about her that bugs me."
Sierra poked a damp stick into the fire, and watched steam roll off of it. "And what is that?"
Xavier shifted into a more comfortable position. "Drakons are dead dragons. Almost literally. When a dragon dies, its soul is given a choice: stay on Terra* or leave and advance to heaven. However, if the dragon's soul chooses to stay, it is trapped in mortal form, except for a pair of dragon wings. But, dragon souls are incredibly powerful, and they break free sometimes. Drakons can free their inner dragons for short periods of times, and assume a dragon form."
Colette sniffed and stared into the fire. "So Anya's a dead dragon?"
Xavier waved her question away. "I'm getting there. The most powerful of dragons are almost too superior to live on Terra*, supernatural beings, if you will. They are neither dead nor alive, like spirits. They waver on two worlds, existent, and nonexistent. So, technically, Anya isn't dead or alive. I won't be surprised if she'll never age. The superior dragons can also assume human form, because they're technically already dead anyways. "
Colette shrugged. "So we can't kill her. And we shouldn't. Right?"
Xavier bit his lip. "There's only one thing wrong about her. She's supposed to have dragon wings, if she's a dragon inside. But Anya has no wings. And that worries me. If she's not a dragon, then what could she be?"
Honus nodded. "That's it. We can't kill her, we're leaving her. Take the scroll. Let's go."
The group looked up at Honus, a little fearful. However, they all knew he was right--Anya was undoubtedly not safe.
They left right then with the scroll. The night was advancing quickly on them, the gold and orange of sunset sweeping over them.
Sierra woke with a start. A campfire had been built, and Honus was stoking the flames with his sword, the silver metal becoming a ember-like orange and hissing hot. "Hey," he grunted.
Sierra sat up on the hard earth. "Did Anya follow us?"
Honus nodded his head, yes. He gestured to the treeline, where Anya slept on a pile of leaves.
Sierra sighed. "Well, I guess she's here to stay. We have the parchment, right?"
Honus nodded. "Yeah, we need to read it. Should we wake her up?" He gestured to Anya again.
Sierra looked in her direction too. "I don't know."
Should they?
A) Wake up Anya and read the parchment
B) Leave Anya sleeping and read the parchment

I've been on a really long hiatus. I apologize for all delays! Thanks!
P.S. Mining in my keep is OK, except for 'No Touchy' Tab! Thanks!
