Colors
Brilliant reds and winter blue,
the brown of your potato stew.
The colors fill in the empty space,
and leave an ever beautiful place.
From forest green to neon pink,
or the colors of the sunset's brink,
without colors, it would seem,
the Earth would lack it's beautiful gleam.

Stew
Lets make a love stew
Peel your heart open
Then drop it all in his hand
Sprinkle some desperation
And a dash of will
Cut up your dreams
Learn not to sleep
Put that all in pot
Stir with the seperation
From him and you
When the cold nights freeze you
Down to your achy bones
Cook for 365 days
Then repeat process
Until you learn
To try a different recipe

Sleep
Isn't it nice?
No worries, only hope
and stars, come join me,
and we will forever slumber
leave the world behind,
Come join me!
Come! It's nice you'll see,
Dream for eternity!
Come Join Me!
If you don't want to
I will make you sleep!
i will make you sleep
sleep
sleep
sleep......

Stars
*edit: thinking about it, it'd have been more fitting if I pulled "dream" instead of "stars"...
We, shrouded in the darkness of the crowd,
can barely look up to see them.
The stars, gleaming like teardrops
on the web of InBetween
to which cacti reach with their twisted arms
and are struck back down again
by beams of garish sunset
It is here where the hummingbird of the Manataka
surpassed the coyote, the bear, the eagle
In courage.
She reached to the ears of her god
star by star, she poked away at the tapestry of night
She gave her life for her dreams.
So that we too, years afterward,
may reach for ours.

Cacti
Spiny arms, waving round.
Silently, without a sound.
Touch them not, for it is clear
You should value your finger dear.

Re: take a word
Clear(gah, why are there no poem word I use? Ok, lets go)
I look at you,
At least I hope,
I can't see you
And I cannot cope
One day you shall appear
But for now,
You're crystal clear.
I look at you,
At least I hope,
I can't see you
And I cannot cope
One day you shall appear
But for now,
You're crystal clear.
Re: take a word
Crystal.
We play in the deepest caves
of the sun-baked savannas of Africa
Emerging from silicon
these fluid edges, we want away
give us sharpness to cut the night,
the geometric perfection that is our middle name.
For all our gleam and glisten, we reflect nothing
yet see everything
become cold, bitter.
We are the blades of the gods.

Re: take a word
Perfection
Call it what you want;
Though I'm not sure you know
What makes you perfect?
Are you even so?
Imperfections,
One has hundreds,
Never go away
Unless they're funded
Plastic is fake
But you are real
Imperfections
Are what make you feel.
Call me out,
Tell me that I'm wrong
But I am perfection.
And you,
So long!
Call it what you want;
Though I'm not sure you know
What makes you perfect?
Are you even so?
Imperfections,
One has hundreds,
Never go away
Unless they're funded
Plastic is fake
But you are real

Re: take a word
feelings
fleeting
everlasting
evenly crippling
letting go
inwardly tumbling
never escaping
glowing feelings, all alone

Re: take a word
fleeting
the wind twirls, runs, and ripples
dances over the sky
blows and spins
lifting hats up high
jumping, playing, howling, chasing
fleeting breeze blows across the sky
