This larva's back is covered in a bright red shell, reminiscent of the egg it hatched from. This shell is extremely hard and protects the hatchling from harm as it crawls around looking for food. It seems to be insatiable and you have to provide it with quite a lot of nourishment for a creature of this size, but it is also growing very quickly. Most of the time, you wear gloves when handling the little creature, for you have quickly realized that letting it crawl over bare skin is making you a bit nervous and jumpy.


They're like, drug bugs xD

What if they were ants or scorpions? Maybe that would be kinda cool since they have to sting?...
